The top Reggae band of Malawi The Black Missionaries will be performing in Johannesburg, South Africa from April 26 to 28.
The band has a show on Friday, 26 April at Safari Hotel in Hillbrow. On Saturday, they will perform at Equator before wrapping up on Sunday afternoon at Tijuka in Bruma.
The band left Malawi Tuesday by road. While in South they will also be promoting their latest album Kuimba 9 by singing some of the popular songs like Bwenzi Langa – Black Missionaries, Akungochimwirabe – Black Missionaries, Okondedwa – Black Missionaries,Am Not A Failure – Black Missionaries
According to Black Missionaires Manager Ray Harawa, who is currently in Malawi said, “South Africans should expect the same “more fire” reggae music that the Blacks have been known for all along on stage. The three shows are all lined up in Johannesburg.
After the South African shows, There is a good chance Ma Blacks will then head to Zambia turning this into the Kuimba 9 album tour.
Mangaliso Nkosi of M Promotions, the firm that has invited Black Missionaries to perform in Johannesburg, says the idea of hosting the reggae band was a result of several requests from Malawians based in South Africa.
