Reverend Chimwemwe Mhango has resigned as Musicians Union of Malawi (MUM) President, this publication can reveal.
Mhango has confirmed of his resignation in a letter which is currently available online.
According to Mhango, the reasons for resignation are purely personal.
Mhango was re-elected as MUM President in 2014 at Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Kamuzu Institute of Sports in the capital Lilongwe.
He outclassed Balaka based musician Charles Sinetre with 54 votes against 13 votes.
