Musician Nepman is expected to appear in court after Malawi Police Service (MPS) arrested him with unauthorized firearm.
The arrest comes following a video that circulated online in which the musician was seen carrying a gun.
It has been noted that Nepman was arrested on Wednesday in the capital Lilongwe.
Central Region Police deputy spokesperson, Patrick Kasauka confirmed of the arrest in an interview with one of the local daily papers (Nation Publication Limited) saying they saw the video and an investigation led to his arrest.
“The Police then followed up to find out if he is authorised to have the weapon in his possession,” said Kasauka.
Meanwhile the suspect will appear in court soon.
