Hip-hop star Kalawe has poured hot water on so-called Malawian celebrities for not contributing in the fight against social justice.
According to Kalawe, international celebrities like Rihana, Meek Mill, Burna Boy and Davido use their influence to address different issues happening in their countries.
He attacked musicians saying they expect Malawi music industry to rise while there is a lot of corruption in the country
” Who will be buying the music when the economy is brought to its knees by corruption?” Kalawe asked.
Kalawe urged the musicians to rise up and dwell on politics because there are alot of people squandering financial resources that would have been helping in other sectors like the health sector.
He concluded by saying that ‘we should be shaping the Malawi we want. If Malawi fails so will our music.’
