Gospel artist from Lilongwe, Aaron Nthwere Phiri Jr, has announced that he is set to release a new gospel album titled “CHISOMO” this year.
In an interview with the Malawi-music team, Aaron Phiri Jr disclosed that he is currently working on the album, which will be his first in his music catalogue.
“I am currently working on my first gospel album titled CHISOMO, and it will be out before the end of this year,” said Aaron Phiri in the interview.
He went on to say that the album will consist of 10 songs and is being produced by different producers such as Macia, Anointed Records (Norman Phiri), and Music Rab Records (Chriss Illest).
When asked about some of the artists he has featured on the album, Aaron kept his comments reserved, saying that “this will be a surprise,” and fans should wait until the album is officially released.
He promised his fans a fiery album with gospel messages, real-life motivation, youth empowerment, and themes on gender violence, among others.
By the end of this year, Aaron Phiri Jr plans to release this highly anticipated album and shoot music videos.
Aaron Phiri Jr began his music journey as a church choir member and also performed during his school days before stepping into studio recordings in 2011.
He has since worked on several projects, establishing himself as one of the rising stars in Malawi’s music industry.
