F1 Kenny Klips took the first spot in 2013 Chill DJ competition on Friday night 25th October 2013 in Blantyre at a packed Blue Elephant nightclub with DJs Mbuzi (Joy Radio), Joey (Power 101FM) and Dude The Smasher (MIJ FM) taking second,third and fourth places respectively in an entertaining evening that featured inspired 15 minute sets by each of the 8 Blantyre contestants.
Kenny Klips garnered the most votes from the judging panel to take the number one spot in the first round Chill DJ battle which featured 8 DJs from different radio stations. Klips’ skills and perfection in delivery and presentation separated him clearly from the rest of the contestants. This means Klips alongside the other three finalist in the next two weeks will face off for that last 2 positions to represent Blantyre in the national finals of the Chill DJ battle.
On Friday 1 November,2013 DJ talents in Lilongwe will have their chance to show their skills at Zanzi nightclub. The Chill DJ battle is sponsored by Carslberg Chill of which the winner will walk away with MK300,000
