The Black Missionaries Band has announced that this year’s Evison Matafale memorial show will take place at at Gadaga ground, Chileka in Blantyre this coming Sunday 27th November.
The Band’s leader, Anjiru Fumulani confirmed the development saying the show will be free of charge and there will be a lineup off several reggae acts curtain-raising.
On this day, the band will not only celebrate reggae music maestro who passed away in 2001 but also other band members; Musamude Fumulani and Gift Fumulani.
Matafale, died in police custody over a seditious letter which was reportedly critical of the Bakili Muluzi and United Democratic Front (UDF) administration.
Matafale had two albums before dying; Kuimba 1 and Kuimba 2 which were performing well on local markets and radios.
