“Urban music” – the genre?????????????

Urban music what is it?  We know its an umbrella covering the genres of hip hop, r&b, afro-pop, dance hall etc.  But it seems where we are from “urban music”  is actually a genre.  On the same note there is alot of music emerging from here which we have failed, the artist has failed, the producer has failed to clarify the genre therefore we just called it “urban music”.  So this unidentified genre which we call urban music is confusing the other genres of which we already know like hiphop, dance hall  afro-pop, r&b etc.  In the sense that this this new “urban music” genre is supposed to be urban music (hip hop, dance hall, afro-pop, r&b etc) .  For Real??????????????????????????????????????????
