Cassper Nyovest, South Africa’s multi-award winning rapper, is set to perform in Malawi on 21 March 2015. The concert is set for College of Medicine Sports Complex in Blantyre. The artist will be performing in Malawi courtesy of Mango Entertainment.
A performance agreement between the South African Best Male Artist in the year 2014 and the Malawian company, Mango Entertainment, was signed this week. The rapper also confirmed via social media on Facebook informing his Malawian fans that he was coming to perform in the country.
Nyovest’s debut album Tsholofelo, which features the hit songs Doc Shebeleza, Gushese and Phumakim, was certified gold late last year making it one of the most successful rap albums from Africa this decade.
Though based in South Africa, Cassper Nyovest traces back his roots to Malawi, where his mother calls home.
This is the second time Mango Entertainment has invited an artist from SA to perform in Malawi. They brought in Zahara in 2013 when she performed in Blantyre and Lilongwe.
