Transformed gospel musician Boniface Kavala Banda who was formerly known as Boniface Kavalasanza has added to his gospel catalogue another song titled “Mdiyerekezi Ngotuzuka”. Mdiyerekezi Ngotuzuka has been taken off from his impending gospel album with the aim to let his fans have a taste of what he has so far been cooking. According to him, the song is based on how satan brings all sorts of oppressions to us . When someone has great potential the devil attacks severely
Malawi Music Team caught up with him for a short interview and he said, “A tree without fruits people don’t stone at it, Every born again christian will never find it easy as the devil usually attacks bacause of Jesus in them” he explained. As most of you would recall, Boniface Kavala Banda abandoned secular music in the year 2012 when he had already made a name through secular music.

The released gospel songs which among others were, Pemphero, M’busa Wanga and the Nyengo Zowawa hit which he featured fellow transformed gospel musician Evance Meleka.
During the same interview with Malawi Music Team, Kavala Banda disclosed that he turned to gospel because he felt convicted in secular music and he could no longer have peace of mind in doing music contrary to God’s teachings. “I no longer had peace of mind in doing secular music after releasing 4 albums. The public used to know me as Boniface Kavalasanza but I thought of trimming out the ‘Sanza’ word because it is attached to poverty.

“I realized that the devil only fight those people with potential. If someone is useless, the devil will not be against you because you are of no use. For example, our enemies always come against us because they see something superior in us, explained the 37 year old musician.
Meanwhile, Kavala Banda has promised his fans to be fully prepared for a DVD which is currently on its way.
Boniface came into the limelight some years ago after releasing secular songs like, Nyamule, Thupi Limodzi and also Mtengo Woyamba Wa Eleven Dollar whose concept was inspired by the controversial buying prices of Tobacco in the late Bingu Wa Muntharika`s regime.
