It’s rare and sometimes impossible for a beginner to launch his music career with a feature from a big and an established artist.
This is so in a way that artists who already have a name refuse to be featured on a song whose owner is an upcoming for various personal reasons.
However, a Mzuzu based upcoming afro artist, Jiva disregarded whatever disgrace he could have gotten after approaching Dan Lu for a feature in his song titled “Nde Nde Nde” which in the end worked out as he wished.
According to Jiva real name Thokozani Kadzipatike, the song “Nde Nde Nde” marks as his first step into music as he has never done any song before except from it.
Jiva says he decided to feature Dan Lu upon seeing that his music touch would go together with the instrumental of the song.
“I first met Dan Lu in 2015 at a show and also in 2017 when I approached him for a feature. I chose him because I knew his music touch could suit the instrumental which I had at hand so I made him listen to it, he liked it and we proceeded from there, “said Jiva during an interview with Malawi Music Team.
The story in “Nde Nde Nde” is all centered at nothing but love, according to Jiva.
“In Nde Nde Nde, a man is appreciating the love he gets from his partner saying that it is as good as the love his mother showed him when he was a baby and for that reason, he is happy to have such a loving lady, “said Jiva.
The song has been produced by Tricky Beats who has also been producing most of Dan Lu’s songs.
The 24-year-old artist grew up in the environment of music as his parents used to take him to church to practice church songs. He was mostly inspired by real life stories in legendary Lucius Banda’s songs.
Meanwhile, Jiva promises to release two other follow up songs in the year 2018.
