Gospel musician Wendy Harawa alongside Ugandan musician Levixone has bagged an award in the Ugandan Royal Music Awards.
The two artists have claimed the Best Zouk Song Award for the track ‘Zikomo’.
This is a song which Wendy released this year and collaborated with Levixone.
This followed the release of other songs by Wendy such as ‘Kuhambelera’ in which she collaborated with Namibian gospel singer Maranantha and ‘Akuwona’ which she did with Kenyan artist Guardian Angel.
Wendy said she was thankful to God for the award, adding the track ‘Zikomo’ which means ‘Thank You’ in English is all about uplifting God for the good things He does in our lives and also giving hope to the hopeless.
This year, the gospel musician has been on the move working with musicians from other countries with an aim of ministering the word of God to the world.
The award also comes barely two weeks after she performed at a festival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where she shared the stage with Levixone and other African artists.
