Afro-pop singer, Dan Lufani has just launched his new album in style. Dan Lu showed the world why he deserved to be up there with the country’s best when he launched his album in style on Sunday in Lilongwe at the Lilongwe Golf Club.
The top-drawer event hosted by Patrick Malimero, and co-hosted by Nyakwawa Anne Matumbi, was attended by many, and saw Dan Lu unveiling his new album ‘Sorry’. Dan Lu said this was just a glimpse of what was to come and people should brace for Dan Lu who is out to entertain. According to Mr. Lufani, he said the album will go a long way in helping people that have wishes to realize their dream in grand style and have no regrets as most the songs deal with social issues including love, relationships and social cohesion.

Skeffa took the stage and gave people their money’s worth, and after the crowd stopped chanting Skeffa’s name, the lights dimmed and on came Dan Lu displaying all the stage presence that has captivated fans around the world for nearly 10 years now.
Accompanied by his 4 dancers and The Lockers Band, Dan Lu powered his way through hits like ‘Sorry’ and ‘Shupie’ among other songs he performed at show.
After Dan Lu’s performance, the show also graced a marvel performance by the Black Missionaries who were the last act on stage.
In an interview on the sidelines launch, Dan Lu said he was very grateful for the launch’s success both in Blantyre and Lilongwe, and he thanked his fans for attendance and also fellow musicians who committed their time to support him. He also said that the album the album will be available for sale in many places including filling stations, supermarkets and many other music outs including online copies from Malawi’s number one online music store Malawi-Music.com from Monday, the 8th of December.
At the show, Dan Lu adhered to his earlier promise and gave out 50 CD of the album to early comers. Though the show was a success, some fans expressed frustrations over the absence of urban artist Dali, of the hit song Nyamulira, who was not in attendance due to unforeseen circumstances.
