The management of Its Only Entertainment (IOE) Whose CEO is rapper Phyzix says it has considered to put the hot selling “Gamba Season EP” for free download as a way to thank fans for the support they have given to the project.
In an interview with MFM Team, Phyzo said he’s much appreciative to Malawians and also other foreign nationals who supported him by buying his EP thus coming to this decision.
“We don’t take for granted the overwhelming financial support that you have rendered by purchasing our EP. We hope you do this for other artists too, not just Phyzix. It’s time for us to write a new story for Malawian arts. Tomorrow, the 17th of April 2020, we will officially release the EP LIVE on our verified Facebook page between 7 and 8 pm. After that we are going to make the EP available for FREE on all online Malawian music websites so that people can download without paying anything,” Phyzo said.
The Cholapitsa hit-maker added that those that feels like buying the EP even after it is put out for free can do so by purchasing it in several online music buying platforms where the EP will be available.
“Those who still feel they want to support, they can either send directly to Phyzix or the payment option on sites like Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, Tidal and others.”
Phyzo said the decision to have free downloads on Malawian sites is to make sure that even those that cannot manage to buy should access the music.
It is estimated that the EP has so far sold money amounting over K1 Million Kwacha breaking the record as the first Malawian artist to have made more by selling an EP.
