Musician Lulu has disclosed that he will lead The Zembani Band to fundraise for his master, Soldier Lucius Banda who is not in good health currently.
Days ago, Soldier Lucius Banda told Zodiak TV in an exclusive interview that both him and his other two brothers, Paul and Francis are critically sick and that they need to seek further medication abroad.
In his Facebook Post, Lulu said since his mentor, Lucius is unwell, he has decided to lead The Zembani Band for a number of fundraising shows in few days to come.
Reads part of his post: “Now that this mentor, friend of mine, father of the industry in Malawi, My bandmate is unwell, he can’t do what he loves most as of now, he needs our support and indeed everyone’s. I have therefore, decided to take my other band, Zembani.
I will lead it for Fundraising Shows in days so near and details will be shared soon enough.”
Lulu said during the fundraising shows, he will be performing both his and Lucius Banda’s songs.
He has therefore, appealed to well wishers, both locally and Internationally to extend their support towards the project.
Lulu has worked with Lucius for over 12 years.
